Watchmen Joke Ruined with Inconsistency

In anticipation of the new Watchmen movie, Chris Sims did a post where he hand-drew a new ending for the story. This joke would have been funny, except for one critical error that Chris made. See if you can spot the error in the post.

No, look at what Rorschach is wearing.

There you go: How did Rorschach manage to get his mask back on between those two panels?

Once I start thinking about stuff like that, I just can't enjoy the joke. So, to help make this funnier, which is what I do here at the BTTISB, Let's take a look at it this way:

Isn't that much better? Now, I get it.

  2. Um, actually, it would be funnier if you referenced Dr. Manhattan's giant blue thing.

  3. You are funnier than Chris Sims! I look forward to further installments and hope that the other site's habit of six days a week just posting close up of comic characters' heads doesn't hold you back. Maybe you could also improve Mike Sterling's jokes or Dorian's too?

  4. @Bully: it was much more giant in the movie than I remember in the comic.

    @Baal: I second that emotion.
